  •          2016年6月6至10日,美国WCAW将举行伤口宣传周活动(Wound Care Awareness Week),希望借此唤起人们对伤口护理的重视。
             2015年,全美难以愈合伤口患者达670万,每年此类伤口护理相关费用达500亿美元。难以愈合伤口种类包括:糖尿病足、压疮、静脉溃疡、外科和创伤伤口及动脉溃疡。
             全美有糖尿病患者2910万,占人口总数的9.3%;
             每年的糖尿病足患者达190万;
             因糖尿病足截肢患者5年死亡率达到了50%;
             30%未经充分治疗的伤口会发展到截肢。
             每年75岁以上人群(占人口总数的13.2%)有250万人发生压疮。
             患者接受治疗的地点比例:40%在医院门诊伤口中心、20%为住院患者、5%在长期照护中心(相当于国内的老年护理院)、35%为独立诊所或门诊。

             In 2015, an estimated 6.7 million patients are suffering with non-healing advanced wounds.
             Patients with an amputation have a 50% mortality rate within 5 years.
             There are approximately 29,100,000 diabetic patients in the US (9.3% of population) who experience approximately 1.9 million Diabetic Foot Ulcers each year.
             Each year 2.5 million patients aged 75+ acquire a Pressure Ulcer (13.2% of relevant population).
             Cost to treat advanced wounds exceeds $50 billion annually in the US.

             Hospital outpatient wound center: 40%
             Hospital inpatient: 20%
             Long term care facility: 5%
             Stand alone (Dr. office, ASC, home): 35%

             30% of untreated wounds result in amputation.

             Diabetic foot ulcer patients: 2,098,750
             Venous leg ulcer patients: 817,244
             Pressure Ulcer patients: 2,906,336
             Surgical/trauma wound patients: 519,923
             Arterial ulcer patients: 388,730
